Even at a very young age, I've always used my ability to create things. When I was five years old, I wanted to be a builder. When I was Nine, I wanted to be an architect. By age twelve, our eigth grade teacher had us write a paper titled "what I want to be when I grow up". Even at that tender age my mind was made up. I wanted to be a photographer. I've been fascinated with photography since I was very young and by high school, I had a 35mm camera, several lenses and my own darkoom. I was often seen around school as the guy with the camera. I was on the yearbook and newspaper staff. These are some of the photographs I took when I was a teenager. I loved photographing people and landscapes. Right out of high school I worked as a senior portrait photographer for a studio traveling all over New Jersey. It taught me how to create beautiful portraits with lighting, posing and eliciting genuine expressions.
With the exception of a few years working customer service for Fed Ex, I've been photographing ever since. I started my own company, Picture Perfect Designer Photography photographing weddings and portraits. Although I've seen a lot of changes over the years with digital, photoshop and AI, it still comes down to creating beautiful portraits with lighting, posing and eliciting genuine expressions. I am absolutly blessed to be able to do what I love and love what I do.
